Modern Mom HQ is owned and operated by Jaime McLaughlin, an individual sole proprietor trading as Modern Mom HQ. Jaime McLaughlin is the data controller responsible for the personal information described on this page — that means she decides what is collected, why, and how it is handled.

We use what we collect to create and secure your account; to determine whether you have an active membership; to enforce free-account limits; to sync your favorites, history and collections across your devices; to generate your Markdown and CSV exports; to process payments through our merchant of record; to send account and service emails such as password resets and billing notices; to fix bugs, prevent abuse and keep the site running; and to comply with legal obligations.

Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (providing the Service, membership and billing), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the product), your consent where we ask for it (optional emails), and compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it, and we do not use your saved prompts to build advertising profiles.

Prompts include blanks for personal details — your child's age, a health symptom, a work situation. When you fill those in and copy a prompt while signed in as a member, the prompt text you saved is stored in your account so it can sync and export.

When you paste a prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or any other AI tool, that content goes to that company under their privacy policy — not ours. We have no visibility into, or control over, what they do with it. Please avoid entering information you would not want a third-party AI provider to receive, and consider using initials or general descriptions instead of full names and identifiers.

Service providers and subprocessors who process data on our behalf: a managed cloud backend that hosts our database and authentication, a hosting and content delivery provider, an email delivery provider for account and service messages, and Google if you choose Google sign-in.

Our merchant of record, Paddle.com, which resells our memberships and handles checkout, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds. Paddle is an independent controller for the data it collects at checkout, under its own privacy notice.

Professional advisers such as accountants and legal advisers, where needed, and authorities or other parties where disclosure is required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights and safety of our members, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary to run the site — chiefly to keep you signed in and to remember locally saved favorites. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time. Doing so signs you out and removes any favorites that were stored only on that device.

Accounts are protected by password hashing and session tokens handled by our authentication provider. Traffic to the site is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Our database uses row-level access rules so that a signed-in account can read and write only its own saved prompts, collections, membership record and usage counts.

No online service can promise perfect security. We do not claim any specific certification, and we ask you to use a strong, unique password and to sign out on shared devices.

We keep account, membership and saved-prompt data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes. Locally stored favorites live in your browser until you clear them.

You can access and edit your saved prompts and collections from your Favorites page at any time, export them as Markdown or CSV while your membership is active, cancel your membership, and request that we delete your account and its data.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, to correct it, to restrict or object to certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To make a request, contact us — we may need to verify your identity first.

Modern Mom HQ is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our providers may store and process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on the safeguards our providers put in place.

We will update this page as the Service changes, and the current version always lives here. Continued use after an update means you accept it. This page is maintained by Modern Mom HQ to explain our own practices; it is not legal advice and is not an independent certification.
